20/08 Lydeard St Lawrence Domestic 02/09 Preston Bowyer Public Order –vehicle/cyclist –Incident Under Investigation. 790 calls received for the Rural Area covered from June to August. 1.During the early hours of 21 June an intruder was noticed climbing the gate to a rural premises at Waterrow, Taunton. Intruder was disturbed by neighbours and dogs barking and made off on foot without gaining entry. Police would be interested in any other information about incidents overnight in the area - please report to 101 or via text information line 07492-888109.
2. At some point between 24 June and 1 July 3 Texel lambs were stolen from land at Merridge, nr Spaxton. It appears that the animals were slaughtered and butchered – identifiable remains were found in long grass about a mile away. This follows a similar incident recently in the Stogursey area. Ref No 5217148795. 3.Between 10/15 August single axle wooden trailer stolen from an insecure barn at a farm near Maundown, Wiveliscombe If you have information on crime/suspicious incidents please phone the police on 101 or text the info line 07492888109. 4.Police sent a message on 23 August in relation to sheep which had been located in a field at Lydeard St Lawrence. As a result of the assistance given by members of Farm Watch in the area the owner of the sheep has been identified and the animals returned.
